If you've ever sat around with a few friends, nursing a beer/soft drink/posh coffee, and wondered out loud whether the Universal Soldier franchise is still going, then let us come to your aid. The franchise that deserved better sequels than it got is still live and kicking, and both Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren are back and signed up to it.
The latest, which is heading to video on demand later in the year, and is apparently getting a brief theatrical run in the US in November, is Universal Soldier: Day Of Reckoning. And knowing how much you all love Photoshopped faces and fire, we've got a poster for it right here. As you'll see, they've recruited Scott Adkins for this one, too.
This marks the sixth Universal Soldier film, although two of them aren't considered 'official' sequels. John Hyams is directing this one, having also helmed the last. He's the son of Peter Hyams, in case you were wondering.
