The world of Max Payne 3 may be full of death and crime, but it sure looks good…
Max Payne's previous outings have always had an edge to them, with a film noir comic book aesthetic pushing along the story. Max Payne 3, although switching up the feel of the story somewhat, isn't going to buck the trend.
In this technology trailer we see that Max Payne 3 has some pretty interesting tech running behind the scenes that's responsible for stylish 24-esque panel cuts, a range of moody filter effects, and the elimination of loading times, blending cut-scenes into the game engine.
It all looks very impressive, and when you couple this with the sharp gameplay, bullet-time special moves and Rockstar's talent for crafting gritty, adult stories, you've got a game that should be a sure fire hit.
We'll find out just how good the game is on May 15, so for now, drool over the spangly graphics and cool technology that powers Max's latest bullet festival.
