L.A. Noire

L.A. Noire may not be as dead and buried as some may think

L.A. Noire was a little polarising, with some loving every second of the unique crime thriller, whilst others found it far too dull and linear. Regardless, the game did pretty well, even if developer, Team Bondi, is now no more.

This, and the manner in which the game wrapped up it's story lead many to believe that the series was done for, but that may not be the case.

On the Rockstar website, when asked about the possibility of more L.A. Noire, an employee responded saying "While there won't be any more DLC or additional content for the current release of L.A. Noire (we're all too busy working on Max Payne 3, GTAV and other games to come), don't count out the possibility of a new game in the L.A. Noire franchise in the future. We simply have not decided anything. We're all very pleased with how that game turned out and are considering what the future may hold for L.A. Noire as a series. We don't always rush to make sequels, but that does not mean we won't get to them eventually - see Max and Red Dead for evidence of that - we have so many games we want to make and the issue is always one of bandwidth and timing."

So, while this isn't exactly a confirmation that we can expect to see L.A. Noire again, it's certainly very promising. We'll have to see, but for now, bring on GTA V!
