Shooting is set to begin next week on JJ Abrams’ sequel to his Star Trek reboot, which explains the relative flurry of casting activity. Last week, both Noel Clarke and Benedict Cumberbatch were added to the cast list for the film, joining the returning likes of Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto and Simon Pegg.
Also signing up for duty? That’ll be Nazneen Contractor.
She’s inked a deal to play Noel Clarke’s wife in the film, according to Entertainment Weekly. Contractor appeared as Kayla Hassan in the final season of 24, her highest profile role to date.
The Star Trek sequel is set for release in May 2013.
