The super-secret Super 8, the new film from JJ Abrams, has been confirmed for June of next year…
It was the secretive project that only came to light when a trailer was attached to prints of Iron Man 2 in the US earlier this year. But now, JJ Abrams is hard at work shooting Super 8, his new film that's being executive produced by Steven Spielberg.
Surprisingly little is known about the movie still, although we do know that it's starring Kyle Chandler, Ron Eldard, Noah Emmerich, Ryan Lee, Elle Fanning and Riley Griffiths, amongst others. And Paramount has now revealed, too, exactly when we can expect the film.
Super 8 has been scheduled for release on June 10th 2011 in the US, something that puts it head to head with Fast Five, the fifth and possibly final instalment in the Fast & The Furious franchise.
We still can't tell you much about it, and we suspect that Abrams might be keeping things close to his chest for a little while yet to come...
