As Torchwood series 4 heads towards production, a couple of names are reportedly now circling the big new roles…
There are things that we know for definite about Torchwood's fourth series, The New World. We know that Russell T Davies is in charge, and writing some of the episodes. We know he's brought in the likes of Jane Espensen (of Battlestar Galactica fame) to write some others. We know that US cable network Starz is footing the bill, alongside the BBC, and that the shoot begins in the States in January.
And we know, of course, that John Barrowman is returning as Captain Jack Harkness, and that Eve Myles is back as Gwen.
But who's playing the new characters? Two of the new main roles are CIA agent Rex Matheson, and CIA watch analyst Esther Katusi. We got some details on both of these characters last week, right here.
We also, courtesy of Entertainment Weekly, have some potential faces to go with the names. EW is reporting that Enver Gjokaj (Dollhouse) and Chad Michael Murray (One Tree Hill) are the frontrunners for the role of Matheson. And it's also suggesting that Katusi could be played by Amber Stevens (Greek).
Nothing has as yet been confirmed, but you can read more about this potential casting over at EW, here.
