The Ghost Rider sequel continues to piece its cast together. So is Christopher Lambert joining Nicolas Cage next?
Now in pre-production ahead of a release in 2012, Ghost Rider sequel Spirit Of Vengeance has already lured Nicolas Cage back to the franchise. And under the stewardship of Crank directors Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor, it looks like there's something of a reboot going on, if word is to be believed, after just one film.
The film is attracting its cast, too, with Cage joined thus far by Ciaran Hinds, Violante Placido and Idris Elba. And the latest addition could well be Christopher Lambert.
Coming Soon picked up on the news, via the Highlander Facebook page, that Lambert is in talks over a possible role in the new film, even if just what that role is remains unclear right now. Nonetheless, the shoot is due to start in the coming months, ahead of the already-earmarked February 17th 2012 release date. That's a release window that worked particularly well for the first film, and Sony is banking on it once more.
