Yesterday, we ran a piece looking at the potential plot problems that stand in the way of potential sequels to Independence Day. You can read that right here.
Said plot problems aren't stopping the new film pressing ahead, mind, and according to a new interview with Roland Emmerich over at German website FilmStarts, the director reckons that he and writer/producer Dean Devlin have the ideas in place for a pair of follow-ups.
In the piece, it seems that Emmerich also says that the plan is to shoot the films in 2D, and then convert them to 3D. And you read that right: films. The current thinking remains for a pair of follow-ups to Independence Day. And it seems their titles have also been revealed.
Actually, it seems the name hasn't changed since Independence Day 2 was first mooted in the later 1990s. But, to confirm, the two films will likely be called ID Forever Part One, and ID Forever Part Two. Erm, yikes.
