The main reason we've been keen to catch of The Tourist isn't that it has Johnny Depp in the lead. Nor is it the fact that Angelina Jolie is co-starring. The fact that it's a remake of a French movie isn't what got our attention either.
No, it's the fact that Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck is directing the movie. It's actually his second full-length feature, and his first English language movie. And when you consider that his first film was the quite stunning The Lives Of Others, that may too raise your own interest in The Tourist considerably. It may not, of course, but if you take nothing else out of our gibberish here, then do at least try and track down a copy of The Lives Of Others.
Still, we're not here to talk about that. Instead, von Donnersmarck's new film is the focus, and the first trailer for it has arrived here. It looks really quite interesting too, as Depp's tourist discovers that people are trying to kill him after meeting Jolie's character. Heck, didn't the man watch Salt?
Anyway, the trailer is here, and the film itself is arriving in cinemas on 10th December.
