And so the waiting is over. Now in cinemas around the world is the final instalment in Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy, The Dark Knight Rises. The new film has been met by generally ecstatic reviews, and we suspect that many audiences will be like the one we saw it in, and burst into applause. We weren't quite on the ecstatic side ourselves, but still liked the film a lot.
