Given that Warner Bros is planning lots of DC projects in the years ahead, it's perhaps surprising that the film that seems to be edging to the front of the queue - outside of Batman and Superman - is Lobo. That said, Lobo has been a movie in development for some time, and earlier this year, it was revealed that Brad Peyton had become the latest to be attached to the project.
Peyton was revealed to be writing and directing the project, and given that his previous film was Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, The Rock was pretty much instantly linked with the title role.
Yet thus far, this was pretty much speculation, with nobody saying anything of note on record about it. That was at least until one Twitter user asked The Rock whether the rumours were indeed true, and got confirmation in return.
"Rumors of me possibly playing LOBO are true", he wrote. "Joel Silver and Brad Peyton working on it now. That could be fun".
As it stands, there's no timescale that we know of for Lobo, but as we hear more, we'll pass it your way.
