Work is beginning in earnest, it seems, on Fox's planned reboot of the Fantastic Four movie franchise. Off screen since 2007, Fox is pushing ahead, with part of the motivation presumably being to stop the rights reverting back to Marvel, and it appointed Chronicle director Josh Trank to helm the project last week.
It's also filled in another key personnel post on the movie too, by inking a deal with Jeremy Slater to pen the screenplay for the film. Slater currently has a couple of films in the works, including horror flick Tape 4 and teen comedy My Spy.
Slater will presumably start working with Trank as soon as the ink is dry on his deal, and we wonder if the new Fantastic Four movie might just make it before the cameras next year at this rate...
