Details emerge on when Clash Of The Titans 2 will be going before the cameras, who will be in it, and who’s directing…
No matter that the 3D bolt-on was dreadful, Clash Of The Titans emerged as one of the biggest hits of the year, and Warner Bros quickly went about the business of getting at least one - but probably two - follow-ups going.
It's now been confirmed by the film's producer, Basil Iwanyk, that Clash Of The Titans 2 will be heading before the cameras starting from February 1st 2011. The movie is set to start shooting in the UK, and Iwanyk, who was talking to ComingSoon.net, also confirmed that Sam Worthington, Gemma Arterton, Ralph Fiennes and Liam Neeson would all be returning for Clash Of The Titans 2.
Iwanyk also confirmed that Louis Letterier, who directed the first movie, wouldn't be returning for the sequel. In his place is Jonathan Liebesman, who's just finishing up work on the upcoming Battle: Los Angeles.
He also addressed the issue of the aforementioned 3D, saying, "Listen, we're prideful people and we want to win and the 3D really helped us in a lot of ways, but we also took a lot of heat for it. I think for my own career and my own sense of purpose, I want this movie to rock... and it will."
