News via Gameinformer has revealed that Bethesda is working on an online MMORPG outing for the massively popular Elder Scrolls series. The Elder Scrolls Online will be a huge online fantasy that will span the entire world of Tamriel, something the main series hasn't done since its debut with The Elder Scrolls: Arena.
The game is being developed in-house and will focus heavily on the gameplay that's made the series so popular, but will take this epic questing online for the first time. It's been confirmed, ahead of the June issue of Gameinformer, that the game will include solo and public dungeons as well as PvP combat and factions.
The story of the game will take place a millennium before the events seen in Skyrim, so this will function as a prequel of sorts to the events of the recent games. A teaser trailer has also been promised, so stay tuned for more news as we get it.
