Mortal Kombat is going handheld on the PS Vita, and here’s the launch trailer…
The recent reboot of Mortal Kombat has been a roaring success, with practically everyone proclaiming it to be one of the best one-on-one fighters of recent times. The refined, and much improved combat, wide variety of game modes and mini games, and even a great story mode all helped bring the Midway classic back to the forefront of fighting video games.
Riding high on this success comes a new, portable incarnation of the brutal gore-fest in the form of Mortal Kombat for PS Vita. This new release contains much of the home console content, but also comes packed with a few new extras to boot.
These new features include a host of exclusive classic costumes, mini games, one of which bears a striking resemblance to Fruit Ninja, only with body parts, and as it's on the PS Vita, it'll also support touchscreen input, including the ability to interact with projectiles mid-battle, and slice your foes limb from limb after you've beaten them.
Mortal Kombat for the PS Vita is out now in North America, and is released in Europe on May 4.
