For a few years now, there's been chatter about the possibility of Alan Partridge making the jump from small screen to cinema. And finally, it seems as though it's about to happen.
Armando Ianucci, the co-creator of the Partridge character, has confirmed that the film is set to go before the cameras later this year, with Declan Lowney directing.
Lowney's credits include episodes of the mighty Father Ted and Little Britain. He also helmed, amongst other things, the terrific Cruise Of The Gods.
Steve Coogan will, of course, be taking the lead role of Alan Partridge. And the film's working title? The Alan Partridge Movie. More on the movie as we get it...
