Wait a minute - isn't he already? CJ sends flowers on our behalf...
Yes, and you thought the Sarlacc Pit got him good in Return of the Jedi. In Dark Horse's Star Wars comics' corner of the Expanded Universe though, the interstellar bounty hunter has been alive and jet-packing for some time since his escape during the Dark Empire series.
Star Wars: Blood Ties - Boba Fett is Dead #1 went on sale last week. Han's archenemy's past finally catches up with him as he's blastered down by a ragtag rabble of rogues.
The series follows Connor Freeman, son of a clone of Boba's father/brother Jango, as he seeks revenge for Fett. Confused by the complicated family dynamics yet? Well, this tale's author says it's best seen as a simple western.
Writer Tom Taylor told Newsarama, "So many westerns are about revenge and one man riding into town to deal out the punishment he feels is due. Instead of six shooters, our revenge story features blasters and thermal detonators and ion cannons, but it's essentially the same thing. It just has less spurs and more enormous death-bringing explosions."
There you go. Anyone up for bidding on a used Slave I with several trillion miles on the clock?
