First look at DiCaprio, Waltz and Foxx in Tarantino’s Django Unchained

Any new release from Quentin Tarantino is worth looking forward to, but there are few films I’m as excited about seeing as Django Unchained. The prospect of the director turning his hand to a Western with the cast he has assembled is an enticing one.

Here, then, are the first shots from film itself, courtesy of Entertainment Weekly.

The first shows the films primary antagonist Calvin Candie, as played by Leonardo DiCaprio, looking equal parts suave and menacing. The second shows Christoph Waltz’s Dr. King Schultz, with Jamie Foxx’s freed slave Django, who embarks on a revenge mission to free his wife from Candie.
