Christian Bale and Bradley Cooper might just be joining forces for David O Russell's new movie...
Following the success of The Fighter, director David O Russell was for a time linked to the adaptation of the excellent Uncharted video game series. However, that fell through, so he turned to The Silver Linings Playbook with Bradley Cooper.
Now? It seems as though he’s turning to the actor once again, for another project with the title of American Bullshit. I don’t think that the either the MPAA or the BBFC will let that title pass when it’s released, mind.
Christian Bale will also reunite with the director, after he won the Academy Award for best actor in a supporting role for his work on The Fighter.
The film will focus on real life events in the 70s, where an FBI sting called Abscam that focussed on public corruption brought down some high profile figures. At this stage it’s unclear as to who Bale and Cooper will play.
Funding permitting, Russell hopes for the project to begin shooting in January 2013. We’ll bring you news of the project when we get it.
