Ever wondered what a stop-motion Turtles cartoon would be like? Roll on up…
If you're a child of the 80s, you'll no doubt have the entire Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (or Hero Turtles, if you lived in the UK) theme tune permanently etched into your mind, along with the awful T.U.R.T.L.E. Power movie theme by Partners in Kryme (you see, it's cool because it's spelled with a K and a Y).
Although the cartoon itself was plagued with fantastically poor animation and continuity errors, and was little more than a glorified toy advertisement (as were most 80s cartoons), it's remained a cult classic, and to this day nostalgic fans hanker for more.
So, when we stumbled upon this stop-motion film, which recreates the entire intro from the 80s cartoon, we just had to share the love. It nails the intro, right down to the smallest detail, and we especially love the use of a Bruce Lee doll for Master Splinter's transformation. Brilliant. Or, more appropriately, cowabunga!
