Some fresh details about EA’s Medal of Honor Warfighter have surfaced, along with a few screenshots…
Medal of Honor Warfighter will be the second MoH release to step out of World War II, and, thanks to some new information, we now know a little bit about the story and gameplay.
As a U.S. Tier 1 operator, named Preacher, Warfighter will move away from the singular setting of Afghanistan seen in the 2010 outing, and will, instead, be a more global affair.
The story sees Preacher return home to his family, which isn't exactly in fine form due to his constant absence. Trying to fix his home life, Preacher is soon dragged back into active duty, as a deadly attack hits a little close to home, effectively putting his loved ones in danger.
The game has been written with plenty of input from real world Tier 1 operatives, and it's going to have close ties to real world events, including missions in the Philippines and the Somali Coast.
It'll be powered by the Frostbite 2 engine, and, as we've mentioned before, it's being developed by a single studio, so the single and multiplayer should knit together a little more successfully than the 2010 MoH.
