Only a few days after the rumours and leaks, Assassin’s Creed III gets its debut trailer, and here it is…
Ubisoft certainly doesn't take its time, and mere days after all of the supposed leaks (or clever marketing, you decide) we've got the reveal trailer, depicting new Assassin, Connor, in all his Tomahawk-wielding glory.
It's a CG trailer, so no actual gameplay is present at the moment, but it sets the scene for the game nicely, and demonstrates Connor's flair for brutal and speedy take downs with a combination of axe and knife.
The game has been in development for over three years, which is more than twice the time taken on previous AC titles, and it's had a greater amount of production staff behind it. It's also powered by ‘Ubisoft-AnvilNext'. This is a new engine that Ubisoft promises will deliver improved visuals, models and better AI. Let's hope it also adds combat that actually poses some form of challenge, always a problem with previous entrants in the series.
Oh, and as the trailer also states, the game will be out on October 31 this year, so if you've yet to play any other titles in the series, then you'd better get cracking.
