BioShock, the spiritual successor to System Shock was an immensely good game, and although its second outing didn't quite live up to the lofty heights set by the first, it was a solid shooter nonetheless, and we wanted more.
When 2K announced BioShock Infinite, what seems like years ago now, we found out that the series was ditching the underwater metropolis of Rapture, in favour of a new setting of Columbia, a floating city high n the sky. Several teasers followed, including an amazing E3 trailer and other snippets of info, all of which made our mouth's water with anticipation. But, we never had a solid release date, that is, until now.
October 19 is the international red letter day for fans of the series, and BioShock Infinite will hit store shelves for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC for most regions, whilst North America will get the game a few days earlier, on October 16.
