Sonic Generations successfully gave Sega's mascot a bit of a lift, and delivered some of the best Sonic action we've seen for some time, and although we still don't think the original magic has been recaptured, it was a step forward at least.
Now, Sega is continuing the return to the classic 2D roots of the series, and has released a new trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode II, featuring Miles ‘Tails' Prower (yep, it's still not funny Sega), fan favourite, Metal Sonic, and some classic platforming action with a modern twist.
With a reportedly larger budget than Episode I, this second outing in the series looks pretty tasty, but with Generations already out there, has some of the steam been taken out of the episodic affair? We'll find out when the game releases in May.
