Sega teases the return of Jet Grind Radio to XBLA and PSN…
Jet Grind Radio (also known as Jet Set Radio outside of the United States) the original cel-shaded game is set to return to consoles thanks to the wonders of downloadable gaming via XBLA and PSN. Sega has released a short teaser trailer that unquestionably confirms the return of the roller-skating, graffiti-spraying classic, which you can see below.
It's been 10 years since the series was last on our screens, with Jet Set Radio Future being the last outing in 2002, with the original arriving way back in 2000 on the Sega Dreamcast.
With a then-revolutionary pumping soundtrack, and impressive visuals, the game saw players take to the futuristic city streets of Shibuya-cho as roller-skating teens hell-bent of rebelling against the authorities. This involved spraying tags and graffiti around the game world, all the time avoiding the police and pulling off tricks and grinds.
If you never got chance to play the original, then you've missed a real classic, and one that paved the way for so many similar titles. Make sure you check this out when it arrives some time in the summer.
