Fast Six will head to the UK and Germany, but it won’t be being shot back-to-back with Fast Seven anymore, it seems…
Director Justin Lin is hard at work getting ready for the shoot of the next Fast & Furious movie, so much so that he’s passed on making Terminator 5 in order to be able to do so. However, it looks like the plan to shoot the seventh Fast & Furious film back to back with the sixth has been abandoned.
The Rock himself, Mr Dwayne Johnson, has given an update on the project, while doing some promotional work for this summer’s G.I. Joe: Retaliation. Chatting to MTV, he revealed that “I don’t think we’re going to shoot them back-to-back”.
The reason? "We were going to try that because it wouldn't make sense to have the same crew and have everybody there in one place, but I think we're dealing with some weather issues, so from what I know we're going to shoot Fast 6 first and then worry about Fast 7 a little later."
He also revealed that the shoot of Fast Six, or whatever it ends up being called, will be heading to the UK and Germany. If they're shooting in Britain, that'd happily explain the weather problems.
Fast & Furious 6 is due with us in the summer of 2013.
