There’s a new image for Tim Burton’s forthcoming stop-motion feature, Frankenweenie. Take a look within…
Whatever you make of Tim Burton’s more recent movies, it’s fair to say that he’s yet to match the creative heights of his 80s and early-90s output. We’ve high hopes, however, that Frankenweenie will be a true return to form, not least because it puts Burton back in familiar territory.
Burton was an artist and animator before he was a live-action filmmaker, after all, and with Frankenweenie – a remake of his own 1984 black-and-white short – containing so much of his familiar style and love of the horror genre, it’s just possible that he’ll have recaptured his creative muse here.
The new image you can see here is full of Burton’s trademark style, and provides a new glimpse of the film’s central characters, the young Victor Frankenstein, and Sparky, his revenant dog.
Frankenweenie’s out on the 5th October, and we’re rather looking forward to it.
