Jack Bauer will be back before the cameras by the summer, as Kiefer Sutherland updates the world on the 24 movie...
It’s been chatted about ever since the eighth and final season of the show came to an end a year or two back, but it looks like the film version of 24 is finally happening.
Kiefer Sutherland, Mr Jack Bauer himself, confirmed the news to TVLine, telling the site that the movie was set to start filming “at the end of April, beginning of May”. That firmly points towards a summer 2013 release, although that’s not been confirmed by anyone. That’s just us playing our highly reliable guessing games.
Sutherland did confirm that the film itself will cover a 24 hour timeline, although obviously not in real time. Mary Lynn Rajskub, Chloe herself, is also set to appear. We’d quite happily sit through a Chloe spin-off movie ourselves, but one step at a time.
More news on the 24 movie as we get it. In the meantime, the TVLine piece is here.
