The new Daredevil movie seems like it's still on track, with a script in good shape, and updates set to follow in the new year...
Plans are still afoot to return Daredevil to the big screen, in a reboot that will see Ben Affleck nowhere near the title role this time around. The new film is set to be directed by David Slade (Twilight: Eclipse, 30 Days Of Night), and currently working on the screenplay for the movie is Brad Caleb Kane.
Taking to his Twitter feed, Slade gave a brief update as to how things were going. “DD still on track”, he wrote. “@Bradcalebkane did an amazing job on script with high pressure deadline”. He then added that “We will be doing more work on it. News in N-year”.
The high pressure deadline is presumably brought about by the need from Fox to get a new film rolling, else the rights to Daredevil are likely to revert back to the Disney-owned Marvel.
We’ll keep you posted, but don’t be surprised to see a new Daredevil movie going into production in 2012.
