Wrath Of The Titans is still months away from release. But work has already begun on Clash Of The Titans 3. Titans really will clash again. And again.
The new take on Clash Of The Titans managed to pull some trick when it was released back in 2010. It managed to make Warner Bros a lot of money, whilst convincingly entertaining very few human beings.
Hopefully, the second part of that is being addressed with next year’s sequel, Wrath Of The Titans, which is arriving in cinemas from March 30th. But no matter if not, because a third film is now on the way, too.
Clash Of The Titans 3, or Cash Of The Titans, as we think we might call it, is firmly on the Warner Bros slate, and the studio has hired two writers to put together a screenplay. David Leslie Johnson and Dan Mazeau have been brought in, and they’re set to begin the work of knocking a story together.
Warner Bros is known to get writing work started on sequels before a project has been released (it did so with Sherlock Holmes and, er, Green Lantern), and it’s a pragmatic way to work, to be fair. It also cuts the time down for the studio between releases in a franchise.
So what’s the tagline going to be for this one, folks? The best idea we heard for a Wrath Of The Titans tagline was ‘Re-release The Kraken’. Leave your ideas for a Clash Of The Titans 3 promo line in the comments below…
