New poster for Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol

It’s our deep suspicion that the upcoming fourth Mission: Impossible movie, Ghost Protocol, is going to be really rather good. We had this chat on our Twitter feed just the other week, and while there’s a bunch of you who clearly don’t have such high hopes, it seems, based on our fag packet maths, that many of you are with us on this. And it’s the Brad Bird factor that’s pivotal here.

Bird is making his live action blockbuster directorial debut with Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, but he does have the small matter of The Incredibles, Ratatouille, and the sublime The Iron Giant on his CV. Can he make the live action jump? Yep, we reckon he can.

Anyway, there’s a new poster for the film, and it shows that Brad has secured some funding to buy Tom Cruise a nice, warm jacket for the winter. Thoughtfully, just to show that Cruise isn’t alone, some other folks have been Photoshopped in, to keep him company.

The film arrives in December, and a new trailer for it is due before the end of the week.
