Steven Soderbergh's remake of The Man From U.N.C.L.E. is set to shoot next spring, and it looks as though the director has found his leading man...

Before Steven Soderbergh goes into his apparent retirement, he has a couple more projects to complete, and one of those projects is the big-screen remake of The Man From U.N.C.L.E.

There's been some speculation as to who would land the lead role of Napoleon Solo after George Clooney, Matt Damon and Johnny Depp turned the role down. It would now seem that there’s a front runner for the role, and it’s Bradley Cooper. Cooper has apparently been passionate about playing Solo, and it looks as though his efforts may well have paid off.

A potential problem exists, though, with the possibility of a schedule clash, as Cooper is currently committed to The Silver Linings Playbook, which is set to wrap shortly, before moving onto Paradise Lost - and the latter will need to finish on schedule if Warner’s hope for shooting to commence on The Man From U.N.C.L.E. next spring.

Cooper’s a good fit for the role, after proving his leading man credentials in Limitless and showing he can do action in The A-Team, plus Warner, no doubt, has a lot of confidence in him, given the work he’s done for the studio in the past.
