The film adaptation of The Hunger Games is due in cinemas next March, with Jennifer Lawrence starring and Gary Ross directing. Thus far, we’ve seen a trailer for the movie, which tells you pretty much nothing, a few stills, and a motion poster.
The latest product of The Hunger Games publicity machine doesn't tell us that much, either. But it's a bit more interesting.
It's a series of district posters, that are gradually being unveiled over at the film’s Facebook pages. There are twelve districts in the story of The Hunger Games, so it’s not a massive assumption to suspect that more of these posters will be unveiled. But these should give you a firm flavour of what to expect.
If you’ve never read The Hunger Games, think a more teenage-friendly Battle Royale. There’s certainly the potential for a solid film to be made from it. And if there is, the plan is to press ahead with filming the subsequent two books in the series.
