The latest installment in Namco’s rail shooter series, Time Crisis: Razing Storm, gets a new trailer. And here it is…
There’s something about destructible environments in videogames that brings out the anarchic child in all of us. Maybe this is why shattering windows, blasting doors off hinges and knocking chunks out of concrete walls is almost as much fun as murdering bad guys in your average first-person shooter.
Which brings us neatly onto Time Crisis: Razing Storm, a spin-off from Namco’s long-running rail shooter series that is about to appear for PlayStation 3. Using either the Guncom 3 or the PS3’s newfangled Move controller, Razing Storm offers a large arsenal of weapons with which to kill things, and the trailer displayed below showcases the game’s fully destructible environments. We particularly like the exploding watermelons.
Razing Storm offers two styles of play: a coin-op mode, which emulates the rail shooting arcade experience of old, and a story mode, where players can freely wander around the levels as they would in a standard FPS.
The disc will also come with two extra games to round out the package, Deadstorm Pirates, another arcade shooter with added peg legs and eye patches, and a port of Time Crisis 4, originally released as a standalone title in 2007.
Time Crisis: Razing Storm is due for release on 5 November, exclusively for PlayStation 3.
