Could Keith Richards’ new autobiography cost him his role in Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides? Plus new behind the scenes pictures from the film, too…
The next adventure of Captain Jack Sparrow is currently filming, as Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides comes together under the watchful eye of director Rob Marshall.
And along with the returning Johnny Depp, it had been confirmed that Keith Richards would also be back, reprising his role as Captain Teague. However, The Drudge Report is suggesting that his involvement might be in jeopardy as a result of his new book.
In the book, Life, Richards is reportedly, and unsurprisingly, pretty candid about his past, and it inevitably contains a series of revelations and discussions that don't really fit with the Disney brand. We don't think we're going out on much of a limb there.
However, what would be surprising would be if this really cost him his job on the film. Richards' background is hardly a shocker to anyone who's followed his career, but The Drudge Report, found here, cites an insider as saying "They very well could end up cutting Keith out of the new movie over this."
In other Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides news, producer Jerry Bruckheimer continues to take behind-the-scenes snaps of the production, and post them via his Twitter account. And we've got a selection for you right here.
The film itself arrives on 20th May 2011.
