The aliens are invading again, in the latest and final poster for the Strause Brothers’ imminent Skyline...
If Skyline had been shot in the 50s - the golden age of the alien invasion movie - it would almost certainly have been called Attack Of The Intergalactic Space Hoovers. Or something.
In any case, the most striking image from the Strause brothers' forthcoming Skyline is inarguably its concept of vast alien vessels sucking up human bodies like autumn leaves. It's the subject of the film's marvellously designed ad campaign, and has featured heavily in the promo footage we've seen so far.
This latest poster - the very last one, we're told - once again places this memorable concept front and centre, providing a blue-hued tableau of big alien spaceships with human-stealing tractor beams.
We can't help worrying that, with the Brothers Strause's experience in the special effects field, Skyline's characterisation and dialogue will take a back seat to long shots of invaders kidnapping people with lasers.
Nevertheless, we've no doubt that Skyline will at least look spectacular, and we're fascinated to see exactly how, or if, the film's heroes will foil the aliens' attempt to suck the life out of Los Angeles.
Skyline hits UK cinemas on 12 November
