The build up to Pixar’s next film, Cars 2, starts right here with a first teaser trailer, and a whole host of concept art. Marvellous.
With Toy Story 3 now firmly established as Pixar's most successful film to date (and it hasn't even won its inevitable Oscar yet), the firm is turning its attention to next summer's Cars 2.
We'd suggest that this is a film with a tougher job on its plate. After all, the original Cars, while liked, is perhaps the least regarded of the Pixar movies. Furthermore, reports suggest that it's been having a bit of a troubled production, to the point where John Lasseter is now officially listed as co-director on the film, confirming the rumours that he'd had to take a hands-on role on the project.
Still, the publicity has begun right now. Firstly, Pixar has released a bunch of concept art for the film, which you can click on to make bigger. And then it's also put together a first, brief teaser trailer for the movie as well, which is just down there. It kind of reminded us of the first teaser trailer for South Park: Bigger, Longer And Uncut for some reason, too.
Cars 2 arrives in cinemas next summer.
