Can lightning strike twice? Here’s the latest trailer for Paranormal Activity 2, which seems to want to show us just a little too much…
Warning: please don't watch this if you haven't seen the original Paranormal Activity.
We're weeks away from the (almost) head to head between Saw 3D and Paranormal Activity 2, with the two films arriving a week apart, but aiming at the same Halloween audience. Last year, Paranormal Activity's sleeper success was perhaps instrumental in the announcement that this latest Saw movie would be the last. However, there are clearly plans afoot to keep Paranormal Activity chugging for a few years yet.
With that in mind, the promotional material we've seen thus far for Paranormal Activity 2 has been really quite impressive. We've had, after all, the trailer that was reported yanked from screenings of Twilight: Eclipse in the States over the summer, amidst reports people were finding it too scary. And wisely, the promos we've seen thus far have not told us too much about the new film.
This latest promo does offer a little more, but not too much. But we can see the return of some of the key moments of the original film, as well as the still camerawork that defined the first movie. However, it does seem that this new trailer is throwing just a little bit too much into the mix. Or is that just us?
The film itself arrives on 21st October.
