These rumours just aren’t stopping, as a potential casting titbit for the forthcoming Superman reboot surfaces…
We figure this might go on for a few weeks yet, the rate things are going, as work continues to find the key personnel to help producer Christopher Nolan bring the Superman franchise back to the big screen.
Since yesterday, when we reported that Darren Aronofsky had apparently had discussions about taking on the film, we've since learned that Ben Affleck turned down the possibility of directing the movie. However, one potential offshoot of Aronofsky taking on the project would be who he would cast as his Lois Lane.
Moviehole is reporting that, were Aronofksy to be the choice to guide the Man of Steel back to the big screen, then he would be looking to bring his Black Swan star, Natalie Portman, along with him. Portman would slot into the role of Lois Lane, which she was linked with back when Bryan Singer made Superman Returns (Kate Bosworth eventually got the role).
Of course, this is all rumour and conjecture at the moment, although we can't help but think that someone must be getting warm at this rate. That said, Portman sounds like a long shot to us.
For the fuller story of Natalie Portman's potential involvement, however, take a gander over at Moviehole, right here.
