The success of Skyfall, both critically and commercially, has already been widely reported, as has the fact that production is set to start next year on the 24th James Bond adventure, which is being scripted by John Logan. In fact, Logan has been contracted to write two James Bond films, and that's led to speculation that it was a two-part adventure that was in the works.
Not so, says Daniel Craig. The actor told Filmstarts that "It's impossible to do a two parter, I heard that someone was talking about we're doing a two parter, but that's the first I've heard about it. We can only do them one at a time, they take six months to shoot. You can't write one moving thinking about the next".
He added that "all we're trying to do is get the next one sorted out ... and if I'm able I'll do another one after that".
That does shed a tiny bit of doubt on whether Craig will return for Bond 25, but as the man says, one film at a time. Skyfall, meanwhile, opens in the US on November 9th.
