A sequel to this years horror anthology movie V/H/S has been confirmed, with a host of directors involved.

Of all the types of active horror series we've had of late, there's been a distinct absence of a decent horror anthology franchise. That all looks to change as a sequel to this year's V/H/S has been announced, as has a new batch of directors to contribute their horrific visions to the piece.

V/H/S featured six segments from Adam Wingard, David Bruckner, Ti West, Glenn McQuaid, Joe Swanberg and the directing quartet Radio Silence, all of which focussed on a found footage theme. The sequel boasts the talents of Gareth Evans (The Raid), Eduardo Sanchez (The Blair Witch Project and Lovely Molly), Jason Eisener (Hobo With a Shotgun), Timo Tjahjanto (Macabre) and Gregg Hale, with Adam Wingard being the only director returning from the original outing.

The sequel will follow a similar them to its predecessor in that it will be a found footage movie, but this time the footage is discovered by a pair of investigators searching for a student from the first movie.

No news on a release date as yet, but shooting is set to take place in LA, Maryland, Nova Scotia, British Columbia and Indonesia.
