Production has long wrapped on JJ Abrams’ upcoming Star Trek sequel, Star Trek Into Darkness. But that hasn’t stopped a new piece of casting news for the film emerging.
It’s been revealed that Heather Langenkamp has filmed a small role in the upcoming film. Langenkamp remains best known for her role in A Nightmare On Elm Street, but she revealed to Horror News that she and her husband worked on some of the make up effects for the film. She added that “I had the opportunity to play a small part in Star Trek, so I’m looking forward to that”.
Inevitably she added that “I can’t tell you anything about that”, but did add that “that was a thrill for me”.
Don’t be surprised if her role is similar in size to, say, Christian Slater’s in Star Trek VI, but we figured you’d want to know anyway. Here’s the full story at Horror News.
