Doom 3 may not have had the critical reaction both id and fans had expected, instead considered by many to be an average, and flawed, shooter at best, but now it’s back and in HD.
The Doom 3 BFG Edition brings the hellish FPS back to consoles, but this time with a HD makeover, as well as full 3D support for those that have compatible hardware.
Alongside the enhanced Doom 3, the game will also include the Resurrection of Evil expansion for Doom 3, as well as the Lost Mission. And, for those that just can’t get enough of the original, pixellated 2.5D classics, both Doom and Doom II will also be included on the disc.
It’s a decent pack for Doom fans, and for only $30 on PC and $40 on console in America, it’s fairly good value if you’re after some sci-fi demon-slaying.
European players will have to wait a couple of days for the game, as it’s due to arrive on October 19.
