The intricate production design that goes into creating the locations and characters for HBO’s Game Of Thrones make its ‘behind-the-scenes’ glimpses that much more interesting than those for other shows. Thanks to Will Simpson’s concept art, Gemma Jackson’s design team, and of course, George R.R. Martin’s imagination, Westeros’ many sets never feel less than convincing and cinematic.
To credit the artistry that goes on behind-the-scenes, from Michele Clapton’s costumes to Tommy Dunne’s weaponry and armour, HBO has released a glimpse of what goes in to creating the Game Of Thrones universe, in advance of the September 27th release of hardcover book: Inside HBO’s Game Of Thrones.
It’s the kind of promo that will likely end up as part of a season 2 DVD and Blu Ray extra, but you can take an early look below:
