If its title sounds like just another tawdry mash-up movie akin to something like Strippers Vs Werewolves, fear not: we have it on good authority that Cockneys Vs Zombies, the forthcoming movie from director Matthias Hoene is a great one.
It's got a decent cast, too, including Michelle Ryan, Alan Ford, Honor Blackman and Richard Briers. And it makes great use of them, with Richard Briers seeing off a member of the undead with an uzi being a particular highlight - there's something we didn't see in 28 Days Later.
Cockneys Vs Zombies, inevitably, is full of swearing, exploding heads and geysers of gore (in fact, Geezers of Gore would have been a good alternative title). Bear in mind, then, that the following red band trailer lives up to its name, and viewer discretion is strongly advised. You muppets.
Cockneys Vs Zombies has its premiere at FrightFest on the 23rd August, and goes on general release on the 31st.
