The next iteration of FIFA will introduce some casual elements to the mix…

FIFA 12 was thought by many to be a big step forward in the series, but some found it a little hard to get to grips with. It seems this fact hasn’t been lost on EA, and FIFA 13 will introduce a collection of new mini-games designed to ease players into the game and learn the skills it takes to become a football legend.

The mini-games will include exercises where you have to hit targets, knock balls into cans, navigate obstacle courses while dribbling and more. The games will run the range of dribbling, passing, shooting, crossing and so on, helping even newcomers to the series to pick up the basics and hold their own.

The excellent career mode, which was a stand out feature of FIFA 12 will return, but this time will be expanded even more to incorporate the international side of things, and will now allow players to both play for and manage international sides during the course of a real season. The rest of the mode will be tweaked too, with transfers and manager appointments and releases being handled better than before.

FIFA 13 is due to be released on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC on September 28.
