Next year marks, scarily, the 20th birthday of Steven Spielberg's first Jurassic Park movie, and to celebrate the occasion, the film is getting a 3D re-release in cinemas. However, it's looking like Jurassic Park might just be on the big screen the year after, too, as producer Frank Marshall has given a brief update on Jurassic Park 4.
Marshall, who is currently doing promotional work for the upcoming The Bourne Legacy (due next month), was asked by Collider when Jurassic Park 4 was finally likely to see the light of day. And he replied, "I would say that it will be on the screen within two years". To our memory, that's the closest we've ever had to an official timeframe on the project.
Marshall also acknowledged that the advances of technology since the last film was released in 2001 are set to be helpful. "That’s what’s gonna be great about it, technology’s taken a leap now that we can really do some great things”.
So: Jurassic Park 4 in 2014? Here's hoping...
