The PlayStation 3 will get some of its own Smash Bros-style action soon, and at Comic-Con 2012 a couple of new combatants for PlayStation All-Stars were shown off for the first time.
Perhaps not all that surprising, but nonetheless welcome, are the additions of Jak and Daxter, and inFamous’ Cole MacGrath. The two characters, thanks to their special abilities, such as Cole’s mastery of electricity and Jak’s ability to channel Dark-Eco into a demonic form, should sit well in the game. This is fortunate, as they’re going to have to do battle with the likes of God of War, Kratos, and BioShock’s Big Daddy, so those powers are going to come in very handy indeed.
The game’s expanding list of characters is certainly going to appeal more and more to Sony fans, and when the game is released in October, the cast list will surely be even larger by then.
PlayStation All-Stars will be released on PlayStation 3 on October 23 in North America, October 24 in Europe, October 25 in Australia and New Zealand and October 26 in the UK and Ireland.
