Johnny Lee Miller’s looking a bit preoccupied in this first poster for CBS’ Elementary. Perhaps he’s troubled by a case, perhaps it’s the colour of his scarf, or perhaps he’s just this moment realised that Benedict Cumberbatch’s are some very big shoes to fill (size 11, apparently). Lucy Liu, on the other hand, has a kind of ethereal perfume-ad glow about her as Dr Watson, possibly from the recurring relief that she’s not still filming Joey.
Whatever’s on their minds, this new poster announces that CBS' modernised take on the Sherlock Holmes stories, Elementary, is on its way this autumn, with the tag-line: “Obsessive. Impulsive. Volatile. Bloody Brilliant.” Think we’ll be the judge of that last one come September…
