First trailer for Clint Eastwood’s Hereafter

It's new territory for Clint Eastwood here with his new film. After a series of predominantly serious movies - Flags Of Our Fathers, Letters From Iwo Jima, Million Dollar Baby, Invictus, Changeling - he's reuniting with Matt Damon again for a ghost story.

Entitled Hereafter, and with some dodgy CGI work in the trailer, it's a film that strikes us as something of a gamble for America's most prolific director (sorry, Woody). And this trailer doesn't really, from where we're sitting, sell the film particularly well.

Still, it's a long time since Clint Eastwood made a flat-out dud (it was Blood Work, we watched it), and we're intrigued to see just how Hereafter turns out.

Here's the trailer, anyway, and you can watch the film from 22nd October in the US. If, like us, you're in the UK, it looks like you'll have to wait until 28th January next year. Sigh.
